Job summary (Short promotional text)

PNO Innovation is looking for an Innovation Consultant to strengthen our Spanish team. You will play a central role in developing and managing EU funding proposals from end to end, with a particular focus on proposal writing and project development in areas such as urban planning, architecture, design, tourism, social sciences, and food systems.

This is a mostly remote role, with flexibility to work from home. You will attend 1–2 in-person meetings per month in our offices in Spain, as well as occasional client or consortium meetings when required.

Your mission (What are you going to do in text) summarised down below
As Innovation Consultant, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle of EU project proposals—from ideation, consortium building, and writing to submission and follow-up. You will contribute to high-quality proposals, while also supporting PNO’s broader consulting services, such as exploitation planning, business models, and project communication activities.
Your tasks 1st part (in max 4 bullets)
  • Lead and contribute to the writing of competitive EU proposals (primarily Horizon Europe, but also Life+, Erasmus+, Interreg, Innovation Fund, etc.).

  • Coordinate the full proposal process: idea shaping, partner engagement, work package design, budgeting, and submission.

  • Guide clients and partners in transforming innovative ideas into fundable projects.

  • Manage timelines and ensure compliance with all funding requirements.

Your tasks 2nd part (In max 4 bullets)
  • Identify and secure new opportunities with corporates, SMEs, universities, and public institutions.

  • Support exploitation strategies, business plans, and innovation roadmaps for EU-funded projects.

  • Contribute to the promotion and communication of projects in which PNO participates as partner.

  • Represent PNO in client meetings, workshops, and industry-specific events.

Your profile 1st part (in max 4 bullets)
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (urban planning, architecture, design, tourism, social sciences, food systems, or related).

  • 3–5 years of experience in EU project implementation and/or proposal writing.

  • Strong knowledge of Horizon Europe; additional experience with Life+, Erasmus+, Interreg, or Innovation Fund is a plus.

  • Track record of coordinating or supporting international consortia.

Your Profile 2nd part (In max 4 bullets)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in Spanish and English (both essential).

  • Ability to manage multiple proposals under deadlines with precision and structure.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Team player with proactive and client-oriented mindset.

Why us? (What do we offer) 1st part (in max 4 bullets)
  • Be part of shaping innovative EU projects in fields such as sustainable cities, communities, and food systems.

  • Contribute to high-profile proposals and projects such as VERNE, SPOON, and PROBONO.

  • Develop your career through continuous learning, international exposure, and diverse project work.

  • Remote-first working model, with 1–2 in-person team meetings per month in Spain.

Why us? (What do we offer) 2nd part (in max 4 bullets)
  • Collaborative and international team culture, with colleagues across Europe.

  • Opportunities to expand your professional network within PNO’s European ecosystem.

  • Contribute to projects aligned with Europe’s priorities, including Horizon Europe Cluster 5 & 6 and the New European Bauhaus initiative.

  • Competitive salary of €35,000–40,000 gross per year, depending on your experience.
