We are looking for a Senior Innovation Consultant with a strong track record in securing EU R&D funding and deep technical expertise in advanced digital technologies. As part of the ALMA team, you will lead high-impact innovation projects in areas such as Photonics, Quantum, AI/ML, Data Fusion, and Virtual Worlds, collaborating with world-class clients and partners across Europe.

Your role will combine strategic insight, technical understanding, and proposal excellence to turn innovative ideas into successful, funded projects.

To drive the success of our clients’ innovation initiatives by identifying opportunities, developing strong EU funding proposals, and enabling breakthrough technologies to reach the market.

Your tasks 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

Lead the development and submission of funding proposals for EU programmes (Horizon Europe, DEP, EDF, EIC, ERC).
Analyse complex technical and scientific concepts to craft clear, competitive proposals.
Advise clients on EU funding strategies, policy priorities, and innovation pathways.
Coordinate multi-partner consortia, ensuring strong collaboration and proposal quality.

Conduct funding opportunity scans and identify calls aligned with clients’ R&D roadmaps.
Contribute to business development by building relationships with research and industry partners.
Deliver innovation and impact strategies for advanced technology projects.
Collaborate with other PNO teams across Europe to share expertise and best practices.

Your profile 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

Minimum 5 years of experience in EU R&D funding (Horizon Europe, EDF, DEP, EIC, ERC).
Expertise in one or more of the following: Photonics/Quantum/PIC, AI/ML, Data Fusion, Virtual Worlds (AR/XR/VR, Unity, Unreal, WebXR).
Proven ability to translate technical information into strong, persuasive proposals.
Excellent written and spoken English (C1+).

Advanced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AI tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.
Team player with a proactive, self-driven mindset.
Knowledge of Defence and Security markets is a plus.
