As a Senior Innovation Consultant – Life Sciences & Health, you will support innovative companies and research organisations in securing national and European funding and shaping strong R&D and business strategies. You will lead high-quality funding proposals, act as a trusted advisor to clients, and contribute to the growth of PNO Innovation’s Life Sciences & Health team in the Netherlands.

Your mission is to help Life Sciences & Health innovators transform strong ideas into successful, fundable projects. By combining strategic thinking, proposal leadership, and client advisory skills, you will strengthen innovation strategies, maximise funding success, and create long-term impact for our clients.

Your tasks 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

Lead the preparation of high-quality national and European funding proposals
Take ownership of key proposal sections such as impact, exploitation, sustainability, and business strategy
Advise clients on R&D and innovation funding strategies tailored to their objectives
Support companies and researchers with business planning, market analysis, and funding roadmaps

Act as a strategic sparring partner, challenging and strengthening project concepts
Coordinate internal project teams and collaborate with external partners
Mentor and coach junior consultants in proposal writing and consulting skills
Contribute to the growth of the Life Sciences & Health practice through knowledge sharing

Your profile 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

5+ years of relevant experience after your MSc, ideally in an innovation funding or R&D consultancy
Proven experience in leading successful funding proposals
Strong knowledge of EU and/or national funding programmes (e.g. Horizon Europe, IHI, ERC, EIC Accelerator, Eurostars)
Solid background or strong affinity with Life Sciences & Health innovation

Your Profile 2nd part (In max 4 bullets)

Master’s degree (PhD is a plus)
Strong consulting and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy and quality
Fluent in English (written and spoken), Dutch fluency is a plus.

A gross monthly salary between EUR 4,600 and EUR 6,300, depending on experience
For candidates with 8+ years of relevant experience, a senior salary range of up to EUR 7,400 gross per month is possible
