Our Project Management & Grants Compliance Team supports companies, research organisations and public bodies throughout the implementation of European and national funded projects, helping them successfully manage their projects and meet their contractual and financial obligations.

For our Italian team, we are looking for a Grants Compliance & Project Management Consultant to support clients throughout the post-award phase of funded projects. The role combines project coordination, administrative and financial follow-up, grants compliance and client interaction.

This is a post-award position: the focus is on the implementation and management of funded projects rather than proposal writing or other pre-award activities.

You will help clients successfully implement European and national funded projects, supporting them with project coordination, administrative and financial management and grants compliance.

Working closely with clients, project partners and experienced PNO consultants, you will progressively take ownership of projects and client relationships while developing your expertise in European funding and project management.

Your tasks 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

  • Support clients with the day-to-day implementation and management of European and national funded projects.
  • Monitor project activities, resources, deadlines, budgets and reporting obligations.
  • Support administrative and financial management, including cost eligibility, cost allocation and financial reporting.
  • Help clients interpret grant rules and fulfil their contractual and administrative obligations.

  • Coordinate information and documentation with project coordinators, consortium partners and internal client teams.
  • Support interactions with funding authorities and project officers, including amendments, reviews and project communications.
  • Contribute to periodic reporting, audit preparation, project reviews and other post-award activities.
  • Identify potential risks and support clients in developing practical solutions to ensure effective project delivery.

Your profile 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

  • Around 1–3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably involving the implementation, administration or post-award management of funded projects.
  • Previous exposure to European or national funding programmes, ideally Horizon Europe, H2020, LIFE, CEF or similar schemes.
  • Some experience or strong interest in project administration, financial follow-up, grant management or compliance with funding requirements.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several projects, tasks and deadlines.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and client-oriented approach.
  • Fluent Italian and professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive, structured and autonomous, with the curiosity and motivation to develop as a consultant.
  • University degree. Backgrounds in Economics, Business Administration, Law or related fields are considered an advantage.
